Jillian Ritchie from New Brunswick, Canada, stayed with us during January and February of 2009. Although during this period not much was going on workshop-wise, Jillian kept herself busy and painted, among other things, a beautiful Maya mural at our patio. |

Great
things happened in a short time. So much energy is hidden and undiscovered
still in these Copán kids and sometimes it appears in unexpected
ways. So much talent to be exposed! I hope we have thrown some "Lunatic
fuel" on the Copán fire which will be burning for much more
time than we can imagine. Keep up the art from the heart! A Lunatic-greeting from Rutger Buiter Rutger Buiter, Lunatics Theatre Group, Holland, April 24, 2006 |

The
first day working with the children I thought: why did I quit school and
didn't become a drama teacher? Patience with the little
creatures, jumping from here to there, no concentration.. But what a bunch
of nice human beings! We asked a lot from them and they were really into
it, they did a very good job. Thank you all for the experience, I loved
it! Eric Bakker, Lunatics Theatre Group, Holland, April 24, 2006 |

| Muchas
gracias for the amazing opportunity to work with and share some of our passions
with the children of Copán. We wish we had more time... But alas
we must keep trekkin'. Your creativity and enthusiasm radiate and we are
excited to learn more about all your projects. Wicked work! Raven Brown & Bracken Hanuse, Theatre instructors, Haida Gwaii, B. C. , Canada, November 2005 |

| Amiguitos y
niños, with heartfelt sadness we leave Copán and Arte Acción. The
program is an incredible opportunity for children of this lovely town. You
can tell their joy by the way they wait for 30+ minutes to enter. After
three months here, Arte Acción was the highlight of our trip. Kids
were great and we'll always hold Lise, Ron and Carin closely in our hearts.
Good works are done here! Abrazos, Paz, Amor, Dionisio & Rebecca, New Mexico, USA, October 2005 |

| I had a great
time in the dance workshop I did with lots of children. It gave me a lot
of energy, which I could use, because studying Spanish was making my mind
only do blah blah in Spanish and made me forget how great it is to move,
to see children move, to figure out movement. I really want to come back
and have more of this all. Perhaps make a little performance with the children?
Caroline van Leerdam, Holland, October 2005 |

Thanks so much for inviting us to your school, we loved it! The kids have lots of energy and some would make excellent martial artists with some more training. I hope you find someone to make them sweat more than we did. Michael & EJ, Kung Fu instructors, England, October 2005 |
|
| Thanks for
showing me all the good stuff you're doing here in Arte Acción.
It was so interesting to actually see it all and to talk with you guys.
(...) I hope to support Arte Acción from Holland any way I can.
For sure I'll be here again and talk to you guys in Spanish! Esther Halma, Leeuwarden Holland, October 2005 |

Thank you so much for the terrific opportunities during my stay in Copán. Everyone in the States will want to hear about all of your great projects in Copán and outlying communities. (...) Wonderful work that you are doing! I hope to visit again... Donna Jessen, Washington DC, USA, September 2005 |

I am David and I like to do magic. We went to the village of La Pintada and volunteered to teach English to the children. David Odenheimer, 11yrs, Louisiana, USA, July 2005 |

a great deal of that is thanks to you, your hard work and dedication. I

Thanks for sharing your lessons, it was a good experience. What I like best is the diversity of the projects you do and the absolute freedom the kids get. I thinks that's the best way for them to learn to express themselves... Anyway, thanks for inspiring me for what I might do one day! Rosa, Amsterdam, Holland, May 2005 |
Every year more ideas- it's been wonderful to be associated with your creativity, energy and ways of putting your views into effect! Eileen Blumenthal, President of Action for Community Transformation, Washington DC, February 2005 |
